JOB DESCRIPTION: Ophthalmic Assistants

Seeking Full Time Medical Assistants/Ophthalmic Technicians to join a great practice that emphasizes quality patient care at all times. We have immediate openings in several of our locations.   Must have previous experience in a healthcare setting, demonstrated proficiency with computers and exceptional attention to detail. Looking for a very compassionate and caring individual who enjoys working with the elderly, has the ability to multi-task and is eager to learn new skills. Must be available between M-F from 7:30-5:00 and have reliable transportation as some travel between offices is required. We offer excellent hours (no weekends or evenings), a competitive salary, an outstanding benefits package which includes Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, Paid Holiday’s, 401(K) and a Uniform Allowance just to name a few. Experience in ophthalmology is not required, but prior medical experience is preferred. Willing to train qualified candidates.

JOB DESCRIPTION – MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

We are seeking an experienced front desk medical receptionist for our very busy retina practice. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a medical setting with a very good understanding of front desk operations.

The ideal candidate will have proven track record of exceptional attendance, demonstrated proficiency with computers, familiarity with EMR systems, strong organizational skills, and strong attention to detail and is able to multi-task. We look for someone who is willing to take direction and learn new tasks and contributes to a positive team atmosphere.

Duties include: check-in/out, scheduling appointments, referral management, insurance verification and authorizations, and electronic prep of charts.

Some travel between locations may be required.

JOB DESCRIPTION – MEDICAL BILLING

We are currently recruiting for a strong FULL TIME Medical Billing Specialist with at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting.

Qualified applicants will have basic knowledge of medical terminology, familiarity with CPT, ICD-10 codes and modifiers, have an understanding of insurance verification and authorizations, and the ability to interpret explanation of benefits. The ideal candidate would have previous experience with claim submission, claim denial, claim follow-up, appeals and collections. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers is preferred. Must show attention to detail, be reliable, dependable and organized, motivated and be a self –starter, yet willing to take direction. Requirements:

* reliable transportation

* high school diploma

* previous experience in a healthcare setting

* computer proficiency

* must be available between 8:00 am -4:30 pm
